Webinar Description:
While SABR has been well established in the setting of adult patients with cancer for a number of years, its potential applications for pediatric/adolescent and young adult (AYA) malignancies is a growing area of clinical research and interest. This webinar will review the currently available data on clinical outcomes with SABR for pediatric and AYA patients with cancer in settings such as locally recurrent primary disease, oligometastatic disease, and metastatic disease with the aim of palliation of symptoms and future clinical and research directions. We will review case examples for each setting as well to give attendees an understanding of patient selection/considerations and dose/fractionation selection.
Educational Objectives:
Review current available data on outcomes with SABR for pediatric and AYA patients with malignancies and future research directions
Develop a framework for patient selection criteria for SABR and considerations for SABR planning
Review case examples of SABR for locally recurrent primary disease, aggressive local ablative therapy in the setting of oligometastatic disease, and SABR for palliation of symptoms from metastatic disease
