Performance and Quality Improvement Session (PQIS) with Case-Based Discussions

Saturday, March 23, 2024
8:00 – 9:30 AM CT

PQIS is being held at the 2024 RSS Scientific Meeting,
Fairmont Millenium Park, Chicago, IL.

Learn how successful centers have overcome challenges optimizing patient care through collaboration that results in improving workflow and case volume.

About the Session

The Performance and Quality Improvement Session (PQIS) is an interactive forum held at the 2024 RSS Scientific Meeting allowing meeting attendees to present and review complex and challenging SRS/SBRT, GRID, Lattice, FLASH and advancing therapy cases, encouraging peer-to-peer discussions, and exchange of experiences and opinions.

The session will follow the traditional Radiosurgery Society Meeting PQIS format. Over the years, we and our attendees have found this format of experience sharing amongst practitioners always creates a lively and active discussion with the main objective of improving patient treatment, safety and care.

Participants, from experienced faculty to new residents and physicists, are encouraged to submit an interesting and/or challenging SRS/SBRT, GRID, Lattice, FLASH radiotherapy or advancing therapy case study using the provided case study presentation template.

  • Submitted case study presentations are reviewed and scored.
  • Key case studies will be identified and invited to present during this session.
  • During the live session, presentations are 7-minutes and immediately followed by 8-minutes of active discussion with the moderators and audience.

We Encourage and Welcome Your Participation

"PQIS is a unique opportunity for clinicians to learn from each other’s successes and mistakes, both of which we may run into in our daily practice but not find in a textbook. I've never experienced a similar session at other conferences! At past RSS meetings, I've always learned something from this session and appreciate the value it brings to my practice in avoiding the mistakes shared by others. I strongly encourage colleagues to participate and contribute." - Jun Yang, PhD, DABR, Junxin Oncology Group & Foshan Chancheng Hospital
