During the presentation Dr. Fuller will present the background and rationale for treating the prostate with SBRT and “HDR-like” SBRT methodology. He will also discuss treatment outcomes including PSA Response, Disease-Free Survival, GU/GI Toxicity and Quality of Life Outcomes using EPIC and SHIM measures. There is also a new section on image-guided “relapse troubleshooting” management for the unfortunate minority of patients who do relapse. To sum up, the lessons learned and future directions will be presented.

Presenter & Moderator

Donald B. Fuller, MD, is Radiation Oncologist with Genesis Healthcare Partners in San Diego, California. His interests in the specialty include prostate cancer radiotherapy, prostate SBRT, and radiation dose escalation for a variety of malignancies through the appropriate application of intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and stereotactic (SBRT) techniques. He is the national principal investigator of a multi-institutional, prostate CyberKnife clinical trial: PROSPECTIVE EVALUATION OF CYBERKNIFE STEREOTACTIC RADIOSURGERY FOR LOW AND INTERMEDIATE RISK PROSTATE CANCER: EMULATING HDR BRACHYTHERAPY DOSIMETRY, and has also published an original CT-ultrasound fusion prostate brachytherapy technique in peer reviewed literature, as well as original manuscripts in the areas of lung cancer, pediatric cancer, sarcoma and gynecologic oncology.
John J. Kresl, MD, PhD, FACRO, FACR, DABR,  is the Medical Director of the Phoenix CyberKnife and Radiation Oncology Center and the Department of Radiation Oncology at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center – is an internationally recognized expert in stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). Dr. Kresl will be the moderator for this 1-hour session.

    • Access to recorded webinars is limited to RSS members only.
    • CMEs for attending live webinar broadcasts are available to physicians and are at no cost to RSS physician members.
    • CMEs for attending live broadcasts are available to physicians that are non-RSS members for $12.95. 
    • For purposes of documenting CME attendance, each person must register individually and attend the entire broadcast. Certificates of Attendance will be issued based on these registration requirements, no exceptions.

To be eligible for documentation of CME credit, physicians must attend the entire live webinar and complete an evaluation form.
