AAPM and the Radiosurgery Society® Join Efforts to Host Meeting on Safety and Accurate Delivery of Stereotactic Radiosurgery

The AAPM and RSS meeting in the fall of 2015, will convene experts in the field of stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiotherapy to discuss key issues on safety and accurate delivery of hypofractionated radiation therapy. New Study from RSSearch® Patient Registry Highlights Treatment Patterns and Clinical Outcomes of Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Central Lung Tumors

A new study from the RSSearch® Patient Registry, the largest patient registry managed by a non-profit medical society, dedicated to radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), details treatment patterns and practices and clinical outcomes of 111 patients with centrally located lung tumors treated with SBRT. The study, published in the May, 2015, issue of the journal of Radiation Oncology, reports the validity of SBRT as treatment for centrally located non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) or lung metastases across a real-world setting.

New Study from RSSearch® Patient Registry Illuminates Treatment Practices and Clinical Outcomes of Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Early-Stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

A new study from the RSSearch® Patient Registry, the largest patient registry dedicated to radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), describes treatment management practices and clinical outcomes of 723 early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treated with SBRT. The study published in the January, 2015, issue of the Journal of Radiation Oncology reports the effectiveness of SBRT of treating early-stage NSCLC in a real-world community practice setting.

The RSSearch™ Patient Registry, a patient registry dedicated to stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) has enrolled over 14,000 patients with benign and malignant lesions treated with SRS/SBRT and has expanded to include Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital located in Perth, Australia and the European CyberKnife Center of Munich, Germany.
